THE MON YOUGH FIRE DEFENSE COUNCIL - Was organized by Fire Companies in the vicinity of the junction of the Monongahela & Youghiogheny Rivers in 1941. It has since expanded to include Fire, Rescue, and Emergency Medical Services. This Agency has been called upon time and time again for the protection of the people. As a pioneer in the field of mutual aid, the Organization has now grown to be one of the largest, strongest, and most organized units in the Commonwealth.
We would like to thank everyone that attended the March 27th Special Meeting at Glassport Station, to discuss the viability of maintaining the organization.
It was refreshing to see your interest is peaked.
